Rehua Marae

I tērā Rāhina i haere mātou ko Ngā Kiwi ki te marae o Te Whatumanawa Māoritanga o Rehua. He rangi paki, he rangi ātaahua. I āta titiro tātou ki ngā whakairo me ngā tukutuku ki roto i te wharenui. Nō mātou te whiwhi i tō mātou taha a Matua Mikaere ki te whakamārama te tikanga o tēnā o tēnā.
Last week we went with Ngā Kiwi to Te Whatumanawa Māoritanga o Rehua. It was a stunning day. We had a good look at all the carvings and tukutuku panels inside the wharenui. We are so lucky that Matua Mikaere was with us to explain the meaning behind some of the things that we saw.
